Mango cheesecake

The Hilton on the park turned on the desserts today... we had mango cheesecake with rasberries and apricot sauce!  Divine.

Cheesecake

In a martini glass with hazelnuts, gingernut snaps, marscapone, lemon butter, strawberries and dark chocolate.  Then we had icecream with coffee... love Affogato!

RACV Club drives flavour

I had a beautiful dessert of cake, icecream and sauce at the CEDA Economic forum at the RACV Club.  The icecream perfectly offset the cake and sauce.  It was beautifully presented and most people seemed to enjoy the treat.  I was too shy to take a photo.

Gundowring Orange & Cardamon

It may cost $12.95 a tub, but it is exquisite.  The orange and cardamon flavour is beautiful.  The black cardamon bits can be found amongst the swirls of creamy orange.

Meringue



An afternoon delight
Being saved for icecream tonight
The yellow is a quite bright
And the crunch is white.

The bounce and the boysenberry

Last night the local IGA had boysenberry swirl on special.  We served a dollop atop a bowl of blackberry jelly (set in a Royal Doulton bowl).

The Celebrity remarked "the bounce of the jelly perfectly compliments the creamy consistency of the boysenberry icecream."

Dooley's Icecream, Apollo Bay

The weather was fine, so we tried several flavours, including:

  • Caramelised fig and almond
  • Chocolate Orange
  • Hazelnut
Nothing beats fruit and nut pieces in creamy gelato.
